The Audacity of Hypocrisy

So Colin Powell has announced that he supports Barack Obama in the up coming election.  To me this is an example of the audacity of hypocrisy on both of their parts.

Obama's hypocrisy of accepting the support of a man who was not only for the war in Iraq, but an architect of that war. Powell is a hypocrite  by giving his support to  man who would rather pull our troops in defeat than to support them in victory.  This support flies in the face of everything Powell has represented in his public life.  He not only supported the war in Iraq, but stated clearly that it was a war that had to be fought. How is it now that he can give support to a man that has stated all along that the war was a mistake, that our solders are bombing and air raiding women and children, and the surge would not work. How can Powell come out and support a man who would want to cut the spending for our military including funding for our troops in Iraq.

I have said repeatedly that had Powell run for office, I would have supported him. After hearing his reasons for supporting Obama, I no longer think he would have the judgement to run our country.  A man willing to throw all of his convictions aside for political gain, is not a leader, he is a man without convictions at all.

PRO CHOICE OR PRO ABORTION?

There is a difference between the two. Pro Choice means you have a choice to choose life or death. Pro Abortion means you are for Abortion by any means necessary.

Even most Pro Choice people would not support the killing of a life born child during an abortion attempt. I would guess that almost every Pro Choice person would not support the killing of a child in the 7th, 8th, or even 9th month of pregnancy, as clearly a child born at this time of the pregnancy is a viable life. I would go so far as to believe that Pro Choice people would not support the CLONING of embryos for the purpose of stem cell research.

Well all of these thoughts that I have listed are actually thoughts that Obama has with relation to Pro Choice, to this I say, he is not Pro Choice, He is PRO ABORTION

He wants to fund Abortions, Stem Cell research that uses cloned embryos, while taking away funding for programs that offer choices to pregnant women and research that would allow for alternative scientific methods for developing cells for stem cell research

From the cited link below with regards to stem cell research:

"
But Obama would not stop there. He has co-sponsored a bill-strongly opposed by McCain-that would authorize the large-scale industrial production of human embryos for use in biomedical research in which they would be killed. In fact, the bill Obama co-sponsored would effectively require the killing of human beings in the embryonic stage that were produced by cloning. It would make it a federal crime for a woman to save an embryo by agreeing to have the tiny developing human being implanted in her womb so that he or she could be brought to term. This ''clone and kill'' bill would, if enacted, bring something to America that has heretofore existed only in China-the equivalent of legally mandated abortion. In an audacious act of deceit, Obama and his co-sponsorsmisleadingly call this ananti-cloning bill. But it is nothing of the kind. What it bans is not cloning, but allowing the embryonic children produced by cloning to survive

But when a bill was introduced in the United States Senate to put a modest amount of federal money into research to develop these methods, Barack Obama was one of the few senators who opposed it. From any rational vantage point, this is unconscionable. Why would someone not wish to find a method of producing the pluripotent cells scientists want that all Americans could enthusiastically endorse? Why create and kill human embryos when there are alternativesthat do not require the taking of nascent human lives? It is as if Obama is opposed to stem-cell research unless it involves killing human embryos. "

This man is crazy at the very least and very, very,  dangerous at the most.  Personally, i say he is the most dangerous man in our country in my life time.

My Letter to Mainstream Media

After Newsweek published on yet another article on Sarah Palin, this one titled "She's One of the Folks..and why that's a problem"

What is wrong with being "Just One of Us?   Many of us Americans are proud to have "Just One of Us" representingus. We are the same proud Americans that spend money on your magazine, but not any more. I, for one, will never buy your magazine again. Many of us out here in the real world are sick and tired of the one sided coverage that is being shoved down our throat during this election.

How about covering Obama and his many questionab
leassociations. Do we have that many US citizens living in Kenya, that they need to have a US Senator there on our dollars, campaigning for a RADICAL? How many radicals does a person have to be associated with before the media does an honest and fair evaluation of the facts?

The American people deserve to know exactly who Obama is and what his true agenda is for our country.  The Campaign mantra of his radical cousin, Odonga, is all to familiar.

How about covering Acorn and the direct affiliatio
n with the Democratic Party and Obama. The fact that the Democrats wanted to channel millions of dollars of the bailout bill to fund this corrupt organization.  The same organization that applied pressure to the financial institutes as a way to get loans for people clearly not qualified.

How about coverage of slums in Chicago that Obama oversaw and funded private people(Rez
ko) to maintain.  The Boston Globe covered it, why not you? This is a man that is running to lead our country, and he can't even take care of the people in his own state, or district?

What about the millions of dollars that Obama funded for the radical teachings of William Ayers. The school projects weren't to better the education of the students in Chicago, they were to indoctrina
te these youths in a socialist mentality.

What about the Truth Squads in Missouri, why is there a Truth Squad in the first place? Who is watching over Obama's lies in his campaign messages? NO ONE.

Don't claim to be a news magazine or a News Program, when you are afraid to report ALL of the NEWS. You are nothing but a rag magazine on par with the National Enquire or a news station more on line with the E channel.  Actually as of late, you are more similar to Teen Bop or the Disney Channel, with your gushing reports on Obama.  Do you feel that "tingle" running up your leg?

The Countdown to Freedom

The Countdown to Freedom starts here.  With the election closing in and "The One" leading in the polls, we may be headed to a very dark time in our country's history.

In my mind, this election battle has never been about color or gender, this has been about freedom.  When the election race first began, I thought Obama was a decent option for the office of President, however the more I read and heard, the more I realized that he is not even close.

When I began to focus on the Republican race, I initially supported Romney,  unfortunately, he was out of the race by the time it came to my state. In the early days of the general campaign, McCain would get my vote by default, but as I read more about him and his policies, I became an ardent supporter of him and Sarah Palin.

Now with the race winding down and tonight being the last debate, I am cautiously hopeful that McCain will be able to pull a win from behind victory, thus preserving our freedoms for at least another four years.

With all of the information discussed and NOT discussed about Barak Obama, it is not far fetched to think that many of our freedoms that we enjoy today, will become a thing of the past, to this I am afraid of what our future will become.

For the first time in my life, I am looking at buying a gun. I have never been in favor of owning a gun, always afraid of that unbridled power just a arms length away. Statistics show that most gun deaths come from with in the family home. That being said, in the times to come, not owning a gun to protect those rights that my father's fathers shed their blood for would be irresponsible of me as an American citizen, in my opinion.

I am a proud American and believe there is no country on the face of this earth that is any better. I am willing to fight for the heritage of our country, the legacy of freedom, for my children and theirs to follow.

Debate in five and a half hours.

Go Get Em McCain.

Just a Hockey Mom

What it take to be a hockey mom; in a word, SACRIFICE:

I have been a hockey mom for over 15 years. My son is now in his second year of college and hopefully will make the roster again for his DIII NCAA Hockey team. My daughter is a senior at high school who has lived away from home for the last three years to pursue her hockey aspirations of playing DI hockey and making the USA National team.  We have moved 4 times to support our children's dreams.  We have gotten up at 3:30 in the morning to make it to the rink for a 4:30 AM practice or a 5:00AM game. I put 150,000 miles to date on my Dec 2004 vehicle, driving my kids from one rink to another, all over this country and into Canada.

Being a hockey mom is a special experience that I would not trade for anything. You have to be tough to be a hockey mom. As a hockey mom, you have to learn to let your children go, to let them fall and get back up all on their own (both figuratively and literally),let them face adversity, budget money to pay for the sport and not go broke, take criticism from your opponents with a grain of salt, and let the heckler's voices go in one ear and out the other. As a hockey mom, you learn to sacrifice early morning sleep, fresh smelling vehicles and garages, traditional holidays (most tournaments fall on the holidays), extreme time management, and keen space organization. Your kids have to be tough to be a hockey player, and not just physically. They have to be mentally tough. The lessons learned in Hockey are lessons that will carry over into their lifes. How to work as a team, to rise above failure,  to set goals, to make sacrifices, to work through fatigue, to have dedication, to stay focused, and to develop a competitive spirit.

I had the privilege of watching Track Palin play his last year of hockey, as he played on the same team as my son did in Michigan.  You may ask why would a kid from Alaska play hockey in Michigan.  I have read with great amusement several people asking just that question with such ridiculous speculations as to the answer.  The answer is fairly simple to any of us in the hockey world. Unlike other youth sports where talented players move from high school to college, hockey for the male player has a stop gap called Juniors. In order for a player to move from youth to college in most instances, they have to play Juniors. The chances of a player from Alaska getting that opportunity is not as great as a player playing in Michigan, Minnesota, New England, or Canada. Even the female players in Alaska very often move away from home to increase their opportunity to pursue their dream of playing in college, to further their education while playing the game they love.  Track's decision to join the military could not have been easy,  given the amount of sacrifice he and his family had made already, throughout his youth, for him to pursue his hockey dreams. He had already been tendered (made) a junior team after his final year of hockey in Michigan, when he announced he had joined the military instead. As a mother of a hockey player, this told me two things; he was a young man who understood the lessons learned in hockey and he came from a family that taught him well about honor, sacrifice, and working for something greater then himself.

How does all of this translate into my support for Sarah Palin. I know from her comment of being a hockey mom, that she understands what it is to be tough, to work hard, to sacrifice, to support a team, to deal with adversity, to let the heckler's comments go in one ear and out the other, to budget money and control spending, to organize, and to negotiate.  How do I know this, because she is a hockey mom, DUH!!!!

Sarah, tonight when you begin that debate, remember that you are a tough hockey mom and don't let the hecklers on the left get you down.
